Wolverhampton swimming club came across tough opposition in the first round of the staffordshire league. Wolverhampton finished in a fantastic second place following a solid team performance that saw many personal bests recorded.
There were 9 individual wins (Georgia Driver 11u 50m free/fly, Chloe Gregory 11u 50m brs,Jessica Smith 13u 50m free/fly, Josh Pachocki 13u 50m brs, Hayley Aldridge 15u 50m bk , Chris Fox 50m free/brs) and 2 relay wins (11u mixed relay & 13u mixed relay )
Many second and third place finishes added valuable points to the team score.
The final event of the night saw another brilliant team swim from the girls 10 x 2 freestyle cannon.The girls worked as a slick team to finish in a comfortable first place.

3 - 3rd October - Fenton Manor
WSC achieved an excellent 2nd place in the Staffs League Round 3 at Fenton Manor.
Some key team members were absent but others rose to the occasion and produced some excellent swims with WSC finishing just behind Cossacs

Final - 28th November - Fenton Manor
WSC competed in the Staffs League Pemier Final at Fenton Manor on Saturday 28th Nov. This is a huge step forward for the club who have not competed at this level for many years. Our swimmers performed really well with our younger swimmers fighting out finishes with the best in Staffs. The club finished in 5th place which when bearing in mind we could not swim some team members this year was an excellent result and bodes well for the future.
