Congratulations
Congratulations to Sarah Bacon on passing her UKCC Level 2 in Coaching.
Regional Youth 2010
WSC swimmers - Jessica Smith, Catherine Arnold and Jon Brachmanski qualified for the Midland Regional Youth Championships which took place in May at the 50m Coventry pool.
Unfortunately Catherine was unable to compete but Jessica and Jon produced excellent swims improving their overall positions.
Jessica 14 qualified for the 14/15yrs 50m back final where she came 8th and the 50m fly final where a pb of 31.62 took her into 4th place. Jessica also swam pbs in the 100m Free and 200IM.
Jon 15 had an excellent heat swim producing a pb of 1.15.07 to reach the 15/16yrs 100m Brs final where he came 8th.

Weston Super Mare Easter Open Meet
At the beginning of the Easter holidays 15 swimmers from WSC competed at the Weston Super Mare Easter Open meet. It was a fun meet with great atmosphere and everyone enjoyed themselves. Overall the swimmers won 9 first place trophies, 15 silver and 14 Bronze.

Staffs County Championships
The Staffordshire County Championships were held over 2 weekends in March. 50 swimmers from WSC achieved qualifying times and everyone was very excited to be there.

Congratulations
WSC would like to congratulate Sarah Millington, Tracey Roberts, Adam Johnson, Gary Hannon and Matt Giles, on achieving ASA/UKCC level 1 in coaching, this further strengthens WSC's coaching team and helps both the club and swimmers develop their skills further.
Cardiff Long Course Training weekend
On Saturday 20th February, Wolverhampton Swimming Club descended upon the Welsh capital of Cardiff to experience training in the brand new 50m international pool. 28 swimmers aging from 9 to 16 had volunteered to complete 7 hours of training spread over 2 days, along with 3 coaches (Jane, Kate and Sarah) lots of parents, and quite a few brothers and sisters.
