Wolverhampton
Swimming Club
Monthly Committee Meeting September 2005
"In
Brief"
Due
to lack of numbers applying and a shortage of officials
willing to work it was agreed that the Masters gala
should be cancelled.
Jane spoke to the Mayor at the Diddy League Gala about
our problem concerning the lack of blocks and he agreed
to make enquiries for her.
Treasurer’s report was handed out and discussed.
A Welcome booklet is in the process of being put together
by Dave Fereday and Matt Mitchell in line with Swim
21 and should be completed by the AGM on 1st December.
Further courses in Continuing Professional Development
(CPD) have been attended by poolside staff and Lane
Minders courses are being sought.
All people attending the Timekeepers course have passed
the theory and are now awaiting notification from the
ASA for their practical.
There is a Sports Advisory Committee meeting soon which
Dave Fereday and Stephen Cockayne volunteered to attend
and will report back on.
As we have had no response from Bilston regarding the
joint Gala we are to go ahead without them and forms
will be sent out as soon as possible.
The Committee were informed of the serious illness of
our past Treasurer Bert and our President will be sending
regards from the Club.
Carol
Cockayne Hon Secretary.
